We are so proud of our young recruit Lachlan Scallion born in Melbourne, Australia and at just 19 years old took on his first wedding.

Laura & Paul had 2 weeks to pull off this amazing DIY wedding after a family member took ill.  They called all their friends & family but when the SOS call came into Elbowroom we were really gutted we could’t help due to other commitments.  However all was not lost, on hearing the news our newest recruit Lachlan saved the day by offering is services free of charge to gain experience, we gave our recommendation to the Bride & Groom as we knew he was ready to take the leap even at just 19yrs old.   The Bride & Groom were aware of the risks and had no expectations, they also arranged for a friend photographer who was also a guest to take images just as a back up.

I’m sure you will all agree from the images below that Lachlan will make an amazing Wedding Photographer and has a very bright future in the wedding industry should this be his chosen career.

Having previously worked with Eventures on numerous weddings we knew their work was spectacular, however walking into their purpose built showroom which is just five minutes drive from the Trafford Centre was like entering wedding heaven, every master piece was just waiting to be photographed and full of inspiration for any prospective client, you really will be spoilt for choice.

The secret to their success has to be their meticulous eye for detail, it was great to work with a company that has the same pursuit for perfection that we do.

Before you scroll down and have  a good nosey at the photos, we would love to say a huge thank you to the office crew at Eventures who helped during the shoot, you guys all work extremely hard planning and making wedding days extremely special and we can’t wait to work with you all again.

It was great to see Nemonie & Nicholas again and with only weeks to go until their wedding at Flixton House it was time to meet up for a quick chat and a practice for the big day.   We can’t believe how much Salford Quays has changed  since MediaCityUK opened.  It’s a stunning location for photoshoots and a great day out with loads to see.   Although don’t pick a match day..

It was such a fantastic day that we couldn’t resist hanging around for a few extra shots of the landscape…

The Sun was shining and it was a lovely day for Vicky & Zak’s photoshoot, we were slightly concerned about the weather a few days before but it was glorious.  Vicky, Zak & Ella came to our studio about a year ago for a family photoshoot so it was great when Ella recognised us straight away and dragged us off into the woods, very excited to get started.  Gosh they grow up fast. Ella knew all the best places so she lead the way hiding behind trees and climbing over tree stumps as we went further into the woods only to be a kid again!

Vicky & Zak get married  on the 27th July at the Ramada Hotel in Bolton and we can’t wait to see them again.

Elbowroom Photography are proud to announce our involvement with the Oasis Academy at MediaCity UK who are inviting local businesses and residents to their new Charity Launch and Fundraiser on the 27^th April 2012, called Oasis Community Hub MediaCityUK.  There is a flyer at the end of this BLOG explaining the details.

Oasis Community Hub MediaCityUK is a local centre of activity that provides integrated, high quality and diverse services to benefit the whole person and the whole community – in other words delivery that is 360º.  Working out of, but not limited to, Oasis Academy MediaCityUK.  

The work they will be doing will take place in and around the Ordsall and Langworthy areas and their aim is as follows:

• Building a stronger sense of community; transforming it into an environment where people, including families, feel safe, happy and proud to live, learn and work alongside one another.
• Creating opportunities for local people to get involved in shaping the work and delivering the change itself.
• Encouraging volunteering at every level of operation.
• Stimulating a local culture of enterprise and self-help.
• Raising aspirations including educational and employment opportunities.
• Reducing crime and anti-social behaviour.
• Encouraging an environment where the private, public sector and third sector work in deeper partnership.

Examples of work we currently do:

• Youth provision.
• Adult and community education.
• Youth holiday activities.
• Volunteering/internship program.
• Accreditations/training. 

They are also looking for items to auction during the evening.  Any donations would be gratefully received and your support will be publicised throughout the region.
